Work for us

Based in Morecambe, David Farrer established a plumbing & heating business in 1989. Over twenty years on we still provide that personal touch, excellent quality and all at a competitive price. We can cater for all types of domestic plumbing and heating requirements including Solar and Underfloor heating.  Commercial gas heater/boiler service, installation & repair.

Most of our work comes via recommendations from our customers.  We are, understandably, very proud of both our good reputation and our team of Installers and Service Engineers.  There may be cheaper installers on the market but you can rely on the fact that we will still be here to cover any warranty issues for years to come.

David has worked closely with Vaillant UK for over 25 years as both an invited speaker at some Vaillant events as well as participating in research programs for new product development.  The solar kit at the Vaillant and Glow-Worm Training Centres in Elland were both installed by David A. Farrer.

We are Vaillant Advance Installers and Service Agents for  Vaillant appliances. Consequently, we can offer the full 8 year, parts and labour warranty on new Vaillant boilers, up to 10 years parts and labour warranty with ATAG boilers and repair with genuine Vaillant or ATAG parts.

David is also a regular contributor to several professional magazines including the Registered Gas Engineer PHAM news and H&V News and is the author of numerous articles related to gas installation, service or repair.

Common Vaillant Boiler Faults:

Advice which may help get your boiler running until we can get to you:

F22 - Low water pressure.  Add water to the boiler (either a filling loop on the pipe under the boiler or 2 x grey plastic taps on the underside of the boiler)

F75 - Most often a pump failure.  If adding a bit of water and pressing the reset button does not get the boiler going again - please call us.

F78 - Can be a sensor fault - top up the water pressure to over 2.5 (don’t worry, any excess water will go out of the overflow outside) then press the reset button and call us to change the sensor.
